This recipe booklet was included with the purchase of a new Osterizer blender, "the most versatile kitchen appliance every invented" according to Joan Oster of the Home Economics Department at John Oster Manufacturing Company.  At a time in American history when companies were determined to make home life as convenient as possible, publications like this were given away as promotional tools to spread the word and further convince the consumer of the many virtues of the latest and greatest inventions of the mid-century.
