Doesn't everyone want to avoid menu-monotony?!  Sun-Maid Raisins, and their marketing department surely captured the interest of the 1930s home cook with such an attention-grabbing cookbook title.

The owner of this well-loved recipe collection adored raisins, as evidenced by the two pages of typewritten Sun-Maid recipes glued into the back of the book!  While the usual dessert and baked good recipes are included, so too are entrees, salads, sandwiches, and vegetables.  How can you have a monotonous meal when serving a raisin cheese souffle or a raisin spaghetti ring?  The typewritten recipes for Topsy-Turvy Cake and Raisin Apple Cart-Wheels are equally intriguing.

Measuring approximately 6 3/4" x 4 5/8" with 30 pages full of recipes, this charmingly illustrated advertising cookbooklet from Sun-Maid promises no more boring meals, as long as you include raisins!  The booklet has been well-used as evidenced by the loose binding and water damage, but the 1930s illustrations, delightful recipes, and hand-typed extra pages make this recipe collection one to treasure.
