Roselane Pottery Dish, Mid-century Chartreuse Green, California Pottery
Roselane Pottery Dish, Mid-century Chartreuse Green, California Pottery
Roselane Pottery Dish in chartreuse green with a tinge of brown around the base.
The Roselane Pottery was founded in Pasadena, California in 1938. Like most California- based potteries, Roselane specialized in pieces complementing contemporary-styled interiors, known today as "mid-century modern". Their product line was diverse, especially in the late 1940s and 1950s, when they produced vases, wall pockets, candlesticks, and decorative and serving wares such as this bowl. The color is gorgeous and quite evocative of the period. The bottom is incised with "Roselane Pottery" while the raised "625C" indicates the model number. Measuring approximately 7 1/4" long x 3" at its widest point x 1 3/8" tall, this dish could have a multitude of purposes, from candy dish to trinket dish. The perfect addition to any mid-century collection or interior.
